A native of Harlem, New York, Halsey Street Grill Chef Jay was born into a household that nurtured his love of food. Chef Jay began his career by cooking at many notable Black owned restaurants in New York City including the highly acclaimed Fish House, Rib Shack, Lizzie Soul Food and Thomasina's Catering in Queens, New York.
Chef Jay has remain in New York to follow his first love, cooking.
Chef Jay and all our friendly Halsey Street Grill kitchen service staff are happy to serve you.
